"C" is the letter of the day...

I was sent the letter "C" from my cousin for the letter of the day. I get to list 10 things that I love that start with the letter... 1. Cameron, Courtney and Derek "Cameron" Henke! They are the loves of my life!!!
2. California*** We had so much fun on our last trip to California! I guess it was us wanting to get out of this weather!
3. Chocolate Covered Strawberries*** This is the time of year that I get excited... for Valentine's Day... I get a bunch of strawberries from Costco and cover them in chocolate! YUM!
4. Church***Going to church on sundays really get me through the rest of the week!
5. Computers***without the computer how could we blog and keep in touch with all our loved ones. The amount of information at the tip of our fingers. How did we survive 20 years ago...I remember in High School going to typing (keyboarding)
6. Cayman Islands*** If I could choose the place where I would retire... it would be Grand Cayman. Whoever has been there will totally understand.
7. Cuddling***Who doesnt love to put on a chick flick... grab your favorite blanket and cuddle with your loved one.
8. Cell Phones*** this one goes with the whole computer thing. Where would we be without our cell phones. The ability to txt and communicate without talking with someone on the phone.
9. Cameras***If anyone really knows me they know I dont leave home without my camera. I love pictures and the memories they create.
10. Curling Irons***what a great invention. I would hate to have to think about what my hair would look like without my curling irons. It depends on my mood that decides which one i plug in... 2in, 1in or flat iron!!
If you would like to play leave me a comment and I'll give you a letter...if not, tell me what ya thought of my top "C's"

Family fun in California

We had a great time on our California Vacation this year. We went to Sea World this year and it was our first stop...

First thing we knew we wanted to do was feed the dolphins. That was a lot of fun. We got to get up close and pet them. Derek didnt like the feel of the dolphin and Courtney didnt like the feel of the fish that you fed to the dolphin. They are amazing animals. After the feeding of the dolphins we wanted to go see the talent of these animals... this is a picture of Derek waiting for the show to begin and it was so hot that he got a little cranky! He was fanning himself with the map! I really cant believe how amazing the weather was while we were down there! The next stop was to see Shamu... it was amazing to watch these HUGH animals and the trainers and how well they work together. Derek and Courtney wanted to sit in the splash zone... I dont think they knew what they were getting themselves into... the trainer told the crowd that if they wanted to be splashed they had to tell Shamu to come and splash them... here is Derek inviting the wetness...
We loved Sea World but I would have to guess the the kids favorite part of San Diego was the beaches we went too. The first night we were there we headed over to Coronado and enjoyed playing in the water at night. Cameron wasnt afraid to have as much fun as the kids.... you can't tell or anything. Then we were told to head over to the Point Loma Tide pools... that was really cool. We went when it was low tide and it was neat to see what the ocean leaves behind after it leaves.
Point Loma
The next beach stop was our way out of town to La Jolla.... it was gorgeous!!!! We want to just go to California to stay at the beach....
I love this picture... I can see Derek moving to California when he gets older and just enjoy the beauty of what it has to offer. He loved the ocean. No fear in this kid. He jumped right in and we had to pull him out! He didnt want to leave! One of Courtney's favorite things was to look along the shore and pick up all the shells she could find!

La Jolla
The next stop was Disneyland for the next 4 days. We got 3-day hopper passes so we could do the Disneyland and the California Adventure...We invited Camerons mom, brother and his wife along with us. It was a tight ride but a great time with them all. We love to find all the characters and get pictures of them. We didnt get some of the ones that we saw last year... we tried to find the ones we didnt have a picture of... but we had to take our favorites again... Who doesnt like goofy! The fanastic duo....

Here is what we all felt like at the end of the third day....

What a vacation! Now we are looking forward to next year!

I am excited to do a lot of the scrapbooking of this vacation!!!!

Hard work and dedication....

Well I am not sure if I told you or not... but January 1st a couple of girls and I started our New Years Revolutions...DON'T LAUGH.

We even went as far as to take before pictures of us! That was a lot of fun. When I got the pictures emailed to me at first I was mortified... never will I look like that again. Then I had to remind myself that you want the before pictures to look as bad as possible. We were even laughing when we were taking them that we should take all our make-up off and not smile. You know the pictures I am talking about!!! We even had to remind ourselves not to suck our stomachs in... we have been doing it for so long. We didn't know how not too! That is sad...

Well weigh in was today and I am proud to admit that I am down

6 lbs.

I got on the scale and I was sooooo excited! I am back into the routine and the enjoyment of running! I asked Cameron why I ever stopped! It is relaxing, great time to meditate and I feel good! I have a bum hip and ankle but watching the biggest loser... if they can do it! I can do it! I will work through the pain! Wish me luck!!!
Disneyland is coming up soon and I am a little nervous! If anyone has any suggestions on dieting while on vacation let me know!

Having a blast SCraPbOoKinG

Since Christmas I have done several different digital pages. I have so much to do to get all caught up... but here are a few that I have done! This past year I have done the digital scrapbooking but I thought that I wanted to do it 11.5x8 size but after I helped do my moms book that she gave everyone for Christmas I realized how much I liked the 12x12 pages. So now I am wanting to go back and redo all of 2008... yeah wish me luck. With our cities rec center they have monthly scrapbooking saturdays and quarterly they have a sleepover... I think I will try and attend the next sleepover in February and see how much I can get done. Here is a slide show of a few that I have finished the last couple of weeks!!!

Jazz Date Night with Cameron

Cameron came home friday after work with two tickets to the Jazz game for Saturday night!! You know when you have one of those days that just goes perfect.... (it doesn't happen very often). Well yesterday was one of those days. Cameron and I woke up about 8, we went to the gym. We really pushed ourselves but after it was all over I felt so good. Then we came home and worked together to get the house cleaned. After the house was totally cleaned we both sat down and worked on our Sunday lessons. We both started to get hungry so we went to out to dinner, and then off to the game.

It was exciting to be there. You can watch the game on T.V. but it is never as exciting as it is in person. The music, the crowds, the announcer, the games and then the crazy Bear.It really made me remember how much I loved basketball. I haven't played basketball since my ankle surgery years ago. I signed up for our wards basketball team... I am nervous to think of how much I have lost, but it is getting out, enjoy a game that I love and having fun with others in the process! I would invite you all to a game... but you have to promise no laughing!!! I am hoping all the others that are in my ward signed up too! Lets go have fun together!!!
