Dusting off the books...

Pulling out the Weight Watcher Books
after 10 months!!! I have really had success with the whole Weight Watchers. People do different things to lose the weight and I have really enjoyed this program. I was doing really good before I found out I was pregnant. I had to quit once I found out and used the pregnancy as an excuse to stop worrying about what I was putting in my mouth!
NO MORE EXCUSES!!!
I want to put this on my blog so people know what I am doing. I am giving you ALL the opportunity to keep me on track! Please ask me how I am doing when you see me. That will keep me motivated. I have 4lbs to get back down to pre-pregnancy weight and then I want 30 more pounds. This is a goal that I want to reach by my birthday
SEPTEMBER 1o, 2010
I love this little guy...
I am going to keep HUNGRY AWAY!!!
Lets hope that this isn't the way that I track!!!
I can't really get all into the exercising thing right now with still getting my body back to normal from bringing Cole into this world. But there is no excuse... the weather is getting nice and I can get Cole and we can enjoy the outdoors and start to walk, walk, walk!!!

Happy 1 month Birthday

Our little "BUG" is one month old

I can't believe it has been one month!!!

Cole has changed so much. His nickname is "squeekers". That is because that is the noise that he makes. He just squeeks. If he loses his pacifier he lays there and squeeks. It sounds really cute but I have to admit that in the middle of the night that noise isn't so CUTE!!

HE loves car rides... being rubbed down in lotion... his bouncer... his older sister and brother... grabbing his mom's hair... dancing with mom... being swaddled... to sleep...

CLASSIC male pattern baldness

Classic Male Pattern Baldness...
at age 1 month

This has happened in a matter of 2 days. Cole's hair is falling out in clumps. You can see where his hair line use to be. He still as a little hair in front (VERY LITTLE) I was told to expect him to lose some of his hair. I imagined it to thin out in the back where he sleeps and rubs on it. Not in front and not at this rate!

HOLY COW!!!!

We call him our "little man". Another comparison of Walter!

What a nice hairline he has.

Has anyone else out there experience newborn hair loss like this???

A "HEARTSTOPPING" Spring clean-up

1st Day of Spring
We decided to take the opportunity this morning to clean up the backyard during the nice weather we have been having.
We are all getting spring fever, and we love to spend time in our backyard, so when the backyard starts to look nice we know it isn't too long until spring is here

With being pregnant last fall I had no desire to do fall clean up, so we are in kinda a mess this spring.

Courtney sportin her fashion
When we were almost done is when the HEART STOPPING happened.
I started to pick up a pile of leaves and in the pile was
THIS....
I just about DIED! I totally thought it was a real human skull.
My heart totally stopped.
Everyone looked over and they all started to laugh.
We must have gotten someones Halloween decoration thrown in our
backyard.
Derek thought it was the coolest thing ever!
He wanted to keep it. We told him he could keep in but it wasnt coming into the house. It will be fun to see what kind of pranks he tries to pull of in the next spring and summer months.
Boys will be boys!!!

Happy St. Paddy's Day....

I was so excited for St. Patricks Day this year!!
It was the first year since I have been married to Cameron that we had the kids for
St. Patricks Day.
I have wanted to continue the tradition that my mom started with the whole
"GREEN DINNER"
and this is the first year that I was able to do it.
If you know my family you know that they are VERY picky eaters so I couldn't do the traditional Corn Beef, or Shepard's Pie. I had to get creative in making this traditional green dinner.
I went to the store and walked up and down the isles trying to figure out what to make for dinner. Well I happened to see "green" tortellini. So the ideas started to flow, I got Alfredo sauce and died it green, green salad, made rolls with green butter, green pears, and green Kool aid, topped it off with green sugar cookies.
Decorated the table with shamrock plates and everything else as green as I could get it. It was really cute.
I then waited and waited for the kids to get home to see the surprise on their faces.
Derek comes running in knowing that I was up to something (I think dad told him) and he was shocked. He couldn't believe that everything was green even down to the pears. I then asked where Courtney was and they told me that she stayed at her mom's house because she was feeling sick and didn't want to give it to Cole. She is always thinking of others, what a sweetheart. Well after that I was a little disappointed that she was missing out on my
"GREEN DINNER" that I forgot to get the camera out and take pictures.
Oh well, until next year.
And believe me I have to do a green dinner next year because Derek has already come up with BRILLIANT ideas for the dinner. He wants green beans, broccoli, green rolls, green potatoes, he was trying to figure out anything he could die green we would eat. And he said that he is in charge of it! So even if we don't have the kids on St. Patricks Day I will make a green dinner around the same time.
Well because I was so excited for the holiday this year Cole even got into the spirit of things. We got him a little green outfit that was so cute.
I wanted this blog to be about EVERYONE and not just Cole, but you guys are going to have to just see pictures of Cole. I will post pictures of Courtney and Derek this weekend.
Mom and Cole, getting ready to go to a St. Paddy's Luncheon What is he looking at, I love the look on his face Look at those eyes, who wants to guess at what color they will be???
He LOVES to stretch after he gets done sleeping

Gotta love those cheeks!!!

Like Father...Like Sons

OK... we like strips and sunglasses at our house!!!
Cameron's boss and co-workers always tease Cameron about wearing strip shirts. So they went and got Cole a present and they made sure they found a strip shirt and matching sunglasses. If you know Cameron he doesn't go anywhere without his glasses.
If any of you were wondering if Derek and Cameron were alike.. here is proof, now we add a third member to the group.

Cole VS. Walter

Don't know if you have seen Jeff Dunham the ventriloquist and stand-up comedian
He has this puppet that is called Walter. From the first day we brought Cole home Cameron kept saying he looks like Walter when he starts to throw a fit. We tried to capture it on film but this is as good as we got! He usually wrinkles his forehead more.

He makes us both laugh!

We went to his 2wk Drs. appt today.

***Length 21.5in 59.88% ( I asked the Dr. if he was really 18.5 in long at birth and he laughed and said that they must have measured wrong. We already knew that)

*** Weight 8.12 lbs 48.43% (Gained almost a lb in two weeks! We knew he was getting bigger)

***Head Circumference 14.75 in 56.32%

So he is pretty average in his growth! The Dr. said he looked fantastic! They had to take some blood from the bottom of his foot for some 2wk testing and Cole did not like that one bit. To the point that he moved around so much that he tore off his umbilical cord. I was really wanting that to come off, but I felt bad that he was so mad and it came off that way! I had never seen such a fit thrown from him. He was letting that nurse know to

LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!

Dear Cole,

Dear Cole,
Where do I even begin to express my deep love for you. You have been apart of me for the past 10 months and the joy that you have brought into my life is not able to be measured. You see, I accepted my life as it was, a mom but the type of mom that never had the true title. I was happy and content with what Heavenly Father had given me and your dad. We were told that I probably wouldn't have a child of my own and honestly I was ok with that. I put that idea right out of my mind. I accepted the life that we both created and was happy. There were times that I longed to be a mom. There were times that I thought, there is no way I could be a mom. There were times that I thought... I wish someone would call me mom!!! Then, the evening of June 25, 2009 my life changed. That is when dad and I found out that you were going to be coming into our family in just a few short months. I had so many emotions that ran through me. I took those months to prepare a home for you. The love that I started to feel for you was amazing. It was a joy to watch my tummy grow and to feel you move inside me. It made it real, I was going to be a mom. Towards the end I had a hard time waiting for you to be placed in my arms. Every day that passed dad and I would get more anxious! Then in happened, Thursday February 25, 2010 @ 5:26 pm my life changed for forever. You had the most amazing eyes and they were so allert and awake and the way you looked deep into my eyes is something I will never forget.
You have only been home for 12 days but I couldn't imagine my life without you. It makes me realize that Heavenly Father has a plan for each one of us. The plan that he has for you and me will be amazing. Thank you for letting me be your mom, thank you for being such a snuggle bug and allow me to take you all in. Thank you for your smile (I know you have smiled at me). Thank you for you love, and thank you for loving me. The journey we have together will be exciting. It will be tough at times but we have to remember to keep the gospel and our Savior close. I love you with all my heart and with every day that passes that love grows more and more.
Be patient with me... forgive me at times... and love me forever!

Love,
Mom
