A lot has happened in week 36!!!

First thing first... went to the Dr today for my first CHECK appointment and I am
1cm dilated and 70% effaced

YEAH, for me!!!

He said that the baby is facing down and is low that is another good thing. He told me to expect a couple more weeks but not passed my due date. I am measuring a little bigger than 36wks so he will keep and eye on it and if I continue to get bigger than normal they will do an ultrasound and take it from there. Right now Cole is weighing in as a little over 6.5lbs and over 18 in long!!!
Last week I had my friend baby shower and it was a lot of fun. I was a little overwhelmed at the out pour of love and support that my friends and family have shown me. It is amazing how much Cole is already loved!

I was able to get my nursery all put together but right now it is still a little cluttered so as soon as I get in cleaned and ready to show I will take some pictures of it. I think it has turned out really cute!!!

Some of the things that I have experienced the last 4 wks have been...

SCIATIC NERVE DISCOMFORT... but that comes with being pregnant and also being an Orthodontic assistant. I come home and night and get things settled and then off to the heating pad. That has been a great friend of mine.

HEARTBURN... I am still dealing with that on an everyday basis but that also comes with pregnancy.

BRAXTON HICKS and RIB CAGE FOOTBALL... Cole sure is going to love sports... kicking sports for that matter... either soccer or a kicker for football. He sure loves to kick! But I wouldn't have it any other way. Every kick I feel is a kick the lets me know he is doing awesome in there.

NESTING... hahaha, nope haven't experienced that yet. Well if I have it has been like 30 mins and then that passed. I really need to have the phase of pregnancy return. I need to get so much stuff done but right now, no energy to do it! If anyone knows how to bring on the nesting symptom let me know!!!

And the ONE thing that Cameron has had to deal with and he has be a REAL trooper is my snoring. I didn't really snore much before getting pregnant except with colds... but he has dealt with it for over 4 months now. He is looking forward to a good night sleep in about 3 months.. hehe. The bad thing this week is I have a cold on top of the normal noise... so lately one of us has been sleeping in the other room! POOR GUY, but like I said a real trooper!!

Getting things done...

I have a huge list of things that I need to get done before this little guy makes his appearance. One of the things on my list was to finish 2008-2009 digital scrapbooking pages. Here are a few of the ones that I have finished! I really enjoy creating these pages and reviewing the memories that we have had the past few years. I am excited to get the book done and printed!

31wks along...

31wks and counting....

I really have to admit that is has gone really, really fast!

I am saying that now... maybe ask me 9wks from now. I am starting to experience the stages of being uncomfortable. Having a hard time sleeping and the movement that this little guy is making is a lot different than the little pokes and nudges I was use too! He likes to make sure that I know he is there! When he is really active it is amazing what my stomach looks like from the outside. I often wonder if people who are just looking my way can see the movement!! During the next 12 days... We will be focusing on getting Courtney downstairs and the nursery ready! I am sure there will be pictures to follow!

I can only imagine what Christmas is going to be like next year!!! The joys of this holiday season and children!

School Pictures...

Well we finally got Courtney and Derek's school pictures back!
I can't believe how fast they are growing up.
Derek 2nd grade...age 8

Courtney 8th grade...age 13

Derek and his special day....

Derek's Baptism
I can't believe that Derek got baptized
December 5, 2009
I wish I had better pictures and more of them, BUT...
I had a small fall a couple of weeks ago taking a family picture and I wasn't the only one the hit the cement. So did my camera. It hit the ground really hard and the casing broke and I have just been waiting for the day for it to stop working. Well, it had to wait until the day I wanted some special pictures and that would be at Derek's Baptism.
I am just lucky that my dad had his cell phone and we figure out how to get those pictures transferred!!

Picture of Dad and Derek before he got Baptized.

Here is a one with me in it... I am sad that we didn't get one with Courtney and one with Derek in his suit.

I am so proud of Derek and the decision that he made to be baptized. I knew it was going to be an emotional day when I say Derek walk around the corner and I saw him in his new suit that we got him for his birthday. The tear gates opened!!! It was amazing to watch Cameron and Derek walking into the water. Once again tears came... Then Derek asked me (the PREGNANT MOM) t0 talk about receiving the Holy Ghost. Yep, you guessed it... not only did the tears came but I bawled! I was so grateful that Derek asked me to be part of his special day. He is such a special guy and I am so grateful that he is in my life!!! It will be a day that I will never forget! The spirit was so strong. It is always amazing how strong the spirit is at those baptisms.

After the baptism we had a luncheon for family and friends. I want to thank all who came and supported Derek on his special day.

Sunday night after all the family left and we were able to settle down and just talk about what he experienced. I asked him if he felt different and he said that cutest thing...

"Yep, and I think I even sound different" I didn't know that one of the effects of the Holy Ghost was a deeper voice!

GNO w/ New Moon Party

GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!!
The long awaited
NEW MOON PARTY
We all had a blast!!! My good friend Paige rented out the theatre and brought together a great party w/ great prize give-a-ways!!!
It was a great night. We got together with our Bunco group and had a great night with great food and lots of laughs! Then we headed over to the theatre and made it through the long WAIT to get to our seats! It was amazing how many people were there!
With me being pregnant I have two good friends that are pregnant with me!
Breann and Amy the two on the left side and then me!!!
It is hard for me to decide what "TEAM" I am on.
I like them both for different reasons!
Here I am supporting Team Edward!!!
Here I am supporting TEAM JACOB!!!
Bella... there was no Bella!!!
Here is a true fan... Tara colored her contacts with food coloring. She looked pretty cool!!!
I don't want to say much about the movie, just in case there are some of you
out there that haven't seen it yet.
Here is Shayna's review....
MUCH better than Twilight, much better in the make-up area with the Cullens. LOVE, LOVE, Jacob and the wolves! They did great! Emotional with Edward leaving, needed more with the Cullens, I am was excited that they stuck really close with the book, I don't know if it was because I am pregnant but cried when Edward called Bella's house and thought she had died, the look on his face was a tearjerker! The Volturi were great... Aro was a little cheesy but liked them! Great way to end it... leave us wanting more and will be patiently waiting for

Look to the right...

Do you see that countdown... less than
100 DAYS!!!!!!
I have to admit that this pregnancy has went rather quick for me!
Now is the exciting part of things...
THE NURSERY
BABY SHOWERS
We came up with the name for this little guy! How does
Cole Ryan Henke...sound?
Well if you dont like it keep it to yourself... I remember the every first night that I found out that I was pregnant. I couldn't sleep, stressing out and the name Cole came to mind. I have loved that name ever since. Even Cameron was easy to convience!!! Not much goes with Cole and Henke for a middle name so we just went through all the names we could think of and Ryan was the one that sounded the best!
So Cole Ryan Henke will be entering this world less (lets hope LESS) than 100 days from today!!!
I can't believe it!!!

25wks..... can you believe it!!!

I can't believe that I am already at 25wks!!!!
I am sure it will start to slow down in the next couple of weeks!!!
But with the holidays and the showers that great family and friends are throwing me will take up a lot of my time!!!
During the Christmas break I will be doing the nursery and getting everything ready!
I should of picked a better outfit for taking these pictures.
Someone told me to wear the same outfit for each picture and the further I get the more I realize.... not the most attractive thing to wear!
OH WELL!!!!

I can't imagine this little guy looking like this inside me! I really do feel him though. During the last couple of weeks he has been really active!

Yesterday I had the Glucose Test!! I was expecting the drink to be a lot worse. I guess they have changed the taste and the thickness of it. I was fine drinking it, thought it was a Hawian Punch but about 30 mins later I could feel it kicking in! I didnt think that I could make it to the doctors office without totally jumping out of my skin.

THEN THE CRASH!!!!!

I had the worse headache last night for that! With all the negative that comes with being pregnant I have to remember it is ALL worth it in the end!

Halloween '09

Halloween '09 at the
HENKE'S
We really wanted to join in the spirit of Halloween this year. So for the past 3 months we have tried to come up with what we were going to be. Well the last 4 wks Cameron has been very dedicated in creating his costume.
He decided that we wanted to be Wolverine from X-Men.
So we got online and found a picture that we wanted to copy with his costume.
We hit the stores trying to find just the right jacket and I called all over Salt Lake Valley to find the CLAWS!!!
Here is the side by side picture of
CAMERON VS. HUGH JACKMAN

He sure had a lot of fun being Wolverine this year. I have to admit he looks just like him. The funny things is he dressed up for our Ward Halloween Party on wednesday and he had to wear these sideburns around town for 3 days. He got many looks but the closer to Halloween it came the more they seemed to fit in.

The funniest thing was that he took Courtney to the Temple Friday night to do some baptisms for Cameron's mom's cousin and we went with those sideburns. He said he got a lot of looks and many laughes and giggles but I am sure he loved ALL the attention.

He had a lot of fun staying in character and scared people, with his Wolverine stare and growl.

The famous CLAWS!!!

I love this picture of MY WOLVERINE!!!

The group picture before me made our rounds to family and friends and then off to the doors for candy.
I even joined into the fun. We tried to figure out what I could be and Cameron came up with Storm... but because I was pregnant I couldnt really go out and do the full costume. We made due with what I had and what FIT!!!
Courtney as a Fairy
Derek as a Motorcross guy!
He has been saving up for his own motorbike. So if there is any of you who knows where we can get a Honda 80... let us know!

We had some friends over... Halloween seems to bring the kid out in everyone!
The kids getting excited to hit the streets!!!
We had a lot of fun this year. We have also come up with our "Family Costume" next year! I have one year to get each costume perfect. It really makes me excited because it also includes this little guy we are patiently waiting for to enter this world!!!
