Well it is official... school is out and summer is here! There has been a couple of milestones at our house this week. Courtney is no longer in Elementary School... she is going into big bad Junior High. She had her 6th grade graduation on Wednesday. It was fun to go and see her walk and get her certificate of graduation. Then there is Derek... he is no long a Kindergartener!!! He wanted everyone to know that he is now in first grade... he has two recesses and 1 lunch. He has to stay there ALL day... You would never know he was excited! They both did great this school year. Time goes by so fast... and they are growing up even faster. I told Derek the other day that we were going to skip his 7th birthday this year. He had to stay 6 for two years. He didn't like that idea. He said that if he had to skip his birthday that I had to skip mine... I told him that it sounded like a great idea.

oh i totally love that skipping a birthday idea! Sign me up quick! The kids are growing so big and are so cute. Congratulations to them both on great milestones.
What cutie-patooties! I can't believe they're growing up so fast! My little Courtney-luvs and Derek-sweetie aren't so little anymore (sniff sniff) hehe. Love you kids!!
