DAY ONE....
Here we are waiting at the airport to fly out to Long Beach.
We didn't realize at this time that the day was going to be a whole adventure.
Once we flew into Long Beach the Pilot let us know that Long Beach was to foggy to land so that our plane was going to be diverted to Ontario airport.
We had to sit on the plane for two hours waiting for the fog to clear up so we can land.
Well we were on a time schedule and we needed all the time we were sitting in Ontario to get us to San Diego to make our boat.
Well after 2 hours we were cleared for take off to make our 8 minute flight to Long Beach. One good thing came from that... the kids got another take off and landing which the LOVED!!!
Well we finally got to Long Beach and we made the trip south to San Diego.
WE MADE IT with some time remaining!
The look on the kids faces when they saw our boat was priceless!
They had no idea how big these boats are!!!
Here we are in San Diego Port waiting for the horn to blow to set us asail!!!
WE ARE ON OUR WAY!!!
Here is Derek enjoying the view of the Pacific Ocean from our Balcony from our room!!!
Here is the view of the port from our room!!!
Here are some of the perks from a cruise... Derek couldn't wait to dig into the
ALL YOU CAN EAT....ICE CREAM
AND
PIZZA
Here we are at the first dinner in the dinning room. We wanted the kids to experience not only the all you can eat stuff but we wanted to introduce them to some culture. So we went to the dinning room every night and tried something new that night... OH BELIEVE ME WE GOT PICTURES TO PROVE IT!!!
Every night the guy that was in charge of our room made us a towel animal. The kids thought he was pretty cool so we wont let them know that each room got an animal!!!
They were so excited to come back to our room after dinner to see our animal that was left!!
HERE IS A DISCLOSURE for those who are curious...
As a family we decided to make this Christmas be a Christmas full of memories not toys that get lost 12 hours later or the ones that get forgotten 2 days after. So we decided to go on this cruise! With this decision we knew that Cole was too young to enjoy or even remember the cruise and me as the mother wouldn't have the time I wanted to spend with Courtney and Derek if we brought Cole. So we decided to leave him home. Cameron's sister Stacey and her family came and house sat and watched Cole while we were gone. Cameron and his friends had a bet going on for when I was going to have a break down. WELL guess what.... I did really good!!!
We woke up Sunday morning and slipped into his room to give a kiss goodbye and he started to stir so I quickly ran out. Before we left we said a family prayer asking that we would be watched over and protected and that Cole would be watched over as well. During the prayer I shed a few tears but for the most part... I had blast with a few moments of missing my little Cole BUG!!!
CAMERON WAS PROUD OF ME!!!
